“Instead of the typical warning signs of promiscuity, depression or anxiety, I displayed confidence, relentlessness and overall to the world, I was great. I promised myself as a little girl I was never going to experience rejection again. So, I did everything I could to be perfect. My reputation of a being a “go-getter” was my trademark. Taking on leadership roles, advocating in the community and always getting what I wanted.
Once I got to High School, I steered away from “Church-Life” and ventured off to being a teenager, dating and shortly afterward went off to college. College had come and gone. I felt called to Chicago and decided to accept a job offer in the big city. Little did I know, this is where I would I collide with Christ.”
